About

Where rigorous research meets
strategic foresight

For over fifteen years in occupational health, as a researcher and Certified European Ergonomist, I have studied how people work, move, and experience the systems around them, and how those systems can be redesigned to be safer, fairer, and more sustainable. At the ILO I led the first global foresight study on occupational safety and health to 2050. As a research associate at KU Leuven and through field collaborations with Colorado State University, the University of Bordeaux, and the University of Milan, I have run studies across Europe and North America. Advisory and training work for the WHO, the Joint Research Centre, and the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work has grounded that evidence in institutional and corporate practice.

My work bridges three domains that rarely meet: the science of work-related health, the methodology of strategic foresight, and the practice of human-centered design. Translating complexity into decisions organisations can act on is what I do.

Outside research, I also teach yoga under the name Where Science Meets Stillness. More on the practice
